Fresh, fresh - Xperia X. Or is it?

Sony unveiled today, a new line of smartphones - the "X" line. And according to them "The Xperia X series embodies Sony Mobile’s new brand vision through adding new layers of intelligent technology across popular and acclaimed Xperia features: camera, battery and design, to make every day smarter and simpler." Featuring three phones - "X", "X Performance" and the more affordable "XA" all with similar desing.

Looking at the design, we see nothing new. The Xperia X is sticking to the looks established by the Z5. The three models of the line have 5 inch displays with 1080p resolution for the "X" and the "X Performance" and 720p for the "XA". We also see the new side button introduced by the Z5 with its integrated fingerprint reader. Though that feature is lacking in the budget variant. All three options come in Black, White and two variations of gold colour.

Under the hood is where Sony's new models differentiate more.

While "X" and "Performance" feature a 23Mpx main and 13Mpx front camera, the lower end "XA" is geared with 13Mpx back and 8Mpx front camera.

The two high end models, both feature 2620mAh battery, stereo speakers, "High-Res Audio" and DNC. While the "XA" lacks the stereo and has a 2300mAh battery.

A snapdragon 650 powers the "X", an 820 the "Performance" and the "XA" features a MediaTek MT675.

Three Gigabytes of RAM are available to the two higher end phones, while the "XA" is left with only two.

Also the only waterproof model of the line is the "X Performance".

*Fixed the images*

And yeah, though I'd really like to see 4GB of RAM adopted in smaller phones. Every single compact version of a flagman has some flaws. Other than that it's really cool indeed.

Okie, what I was thinking:
Flash AOSP and get rid of the Sony bloat and then 3GB will suffice! Currently I have the Nexus 5x with 2GB and I have no issues whatsoever!

Oh yes, of course after some tweaks it will be enough. But you know... Just for the principle :D
